Certification

What is Certification Coaching?

The Co-Active® Training Institute (CTI) offers a 6-month Professional Coach Certification program. As part of this program, participants are required to work for at least 1 hour per month with a Certified Professional Co-Active® Coach (CPCC) as well as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Conrad Hayter, CPCC, PCC is an experienced CTI Certification Coach who hopes and dreams for his Certification clients to not only complete Certification successfully, but to also build relationships with themselves, others, and our world in a Co-Active® way. You can expect him to hold you with rigor around the Co-Active® Coaching Model, and to hold and have compassion for learning, celebrating failure, and growing dynamically, deliberately, and delightfully throughout your Certification journey.

What’s it like to have Conrad as your coach?

A masterful listener, Conrad makes you feel a sense of spaciousness during coaching, as if the two of you have all day to sit on the veranda – although he will wrap things up and stick to the allotted time. You can talking about any topic you want with him, without fear of him judging you in any way. Conrad has a gift for using metaphors or eliciting a visual image for you, that can help you see something in an entirely new way, to help you shift, change, and transform.

Conrad offers a unique perspective as a Front-of-the-Room Co-Leader and Faculty member at CTI, which keeps him well-grounded in the essence of the Co-Active® Coaching Model. An experienced entrepreneur, businessman, and leader, Conrad has overcome much to be who he is today, including self-managing a learning disability of dyslexia. He’s a decorated Air Force veteran who loves nature, flora, and fauna, and is frequently found outdoors or traveling.

He loves coaching around Certification, because he loves the Co-Active® Coaching Model. Conrad enjoys it when his Certification clients – like you – start to integrate not only the being of coaching, but the doing of it. He also loves witnessing you integrate the cornerstones, what it means to stand in the cornerstones, and how to hold the context – the banks of the river – the frame.

Conrad’s Certification Packages

If you select Conrad to be your Certification Coach, he will expect you to show up and be fully present in coaching sessions, to continue the coaching between sessions, and to stay – through it all – even when it gets tough. And, he invites you to show up with whatever you’re feeling in the moment and to consider bringing whatever might seem tough to coaching as a topic.

Conrad's philosophy around Certification Coaching

To Conrad, Certification is about taking this work – professional coaching – which is like a sturdy house, and making it your own home. You’re learning how to coach from your own point of view, in your own style, in your own unique way. And, you’re taking coaching out into your families, your communities, into all walks of life. Conrad longs for you to grow your relationship with yourself and your Inner Coach, so you may be of service to others and yourself through coaching.

During Certification, Conrad will advocate for you to allow this work to create you, get into your bones, and to trust that you’re getting enough, you’re doing enough, you’re being enough – you ARE enough. He believes in you as a coach and in your dreams and possibilities.

Conrad loves seeing and witnessing people bloom, transform, and grow. And he loves to establish deep, intimate, safe-spaces for the coaching, where you can truly connect and courageously explore anything – whether about coaching or about some other area of your life. The human experience is one of both mess and magnificence at the same time – and Conrad will help you identify and celebrate yourself in both areas and everywhere in between during Certification.

What led to Conrad becoming a coach and his Certification journey

What led Conrad to coaching is that he was living someone else’s life – not his own. He was in a toxic relationship, and sitting on the porch one day, Conrad realized that his life was not his own and he wasn’t conscious about being at choice. He was introduced to a Co-Active® Coach by a friend who saw him greater than Conrad saw himself.

Conrad says that his Certification experience was like a roller coaster. Sometimes he had to hold on with great intensity and – at the same time – let go. He is passionate about the profession of coaching and learns more about it each time he coaches and each time he’s in the Front-of-the-Room Co-Leading, or even when he’s just assisting in one of CTI core classes.

The Bottom Line

If you’ll allow him to coach you, using all of his knowledge of the Co-Active® Coaching Model, his business experience, his leadership, his gift for creating Co-Active® relationships, and his passion for the profession of coaching – it will greatly enhance your Certification journey.
